They Were In My Hometown
2013
This series is my personal response to my hometown and my thoughts about associations between place, people and myself. I utilized the places and people from my hometown as metaphors to represent my yearnings—desires, losses and love for time and things that are now lost. I modified the negative films directly, sometimes violently, to reconstruct a fragile memory of my hometown.
